Welcome! Over 15 years working on health related issues made me passionate for understanding life through a health lens. As I worked in various clinical, humanitarian, policy, and academic roles, I strongly believe that strengthening health systems is the foundation upon which communities and states can thrive. This belief has driven my work with various institutions such as King’s College London, Chatham House, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Save the Children International.
Having seen the devastating effects of conflict on health firsthand, I am committed to ethical local development in post conflict areas. I strongly believe that understanding the social and cultural structures of communities is crucial in any health development work. With a strong background in epidemiology and my experience in field hospitals providing war-related trauma care in Northwest Syria, I bring a unique perspective to my work in Health Systems Strengthening, Humanitarian Health, Health Security, and Local Development.
I am excited to share my journey with you through my website and look forward to connecting with you if you also share a passion for understanding and improving the intersection of health, conflict, development, and life!. So come on in, let’s explore and learn together!
