As a Health System Expert, I have had the privilege of conducting research and working in various academic and consultancy roles related to health and conflict. My academic background, combined with my practical experience in the field, has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities of health systems in complex settings.
My research has been published in over 15 peer reviewed academic journal, covering a wide range of topics related to health, conflict, and development.
My current active projects address crucial issues related to health in conflict-affected regions, such as health system recovery, challenges and adaptations during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the role of community health workers in conflict settings. Additionally, I am also involved in projects that aim to assess the impact of armed conflict on education and training of health professionals in Syria, and the use of eHealth technologies in contemporary conflict settings.
